Masterflight’s Fabled Aerospace Education, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Operations Program

We, the participants in Masterflight’s Aerospace Education, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math,) Operations Program -that’sAESOP (pronounced EE-SOP) for short, hope to accomplish three goals on this page.

First, we hope you scroll down to learn the 5 components of our program:

1. We are preparing to complete our Private Pilot certification ground school course.

2. We are becoming rocket scientists.

3. We are becoming aerospace educators and preparing to visit the K-8th classrooms in our community – to be role models that will inspire the next generation to concentrate on their math and science studies.

4. We are participating in a rigorous physical fitness program, and

5. We are becoming space analysts and orbital mechanics.

Second, we hope you begin to understand that through our investment of time and hard work in this program we are not only benefiting ourselves, we are on a flight path that will help other students in our school system, our community, our nation, the fields of aerospace, science, technology, engineering and math, and yes, may even lead to our spending more time away from the surface of the earth – whether at 3000 feet, 30,000 feet, or 384,000 kilometers and beyond.

Third, we hope you taste a little bit of the fun and excitement we feel as we become aviators and rocket scientists, athletes, and educators, team members and community servants.
